Team building events in East Africa are exciting, exhilarating and uniquely inspiring. They can include working together on a project such as building a library, they can be light-hearted and fun with adventure activities such as white water rafting, forest walks, fishing, Mountain Gorilla trekking, or Quad Bike safari.


(The main project for this trip is construction of a well for clean water in a villages or building at Schools, Hospitals and so on.)

Day 1:Arrive to Entebbe
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a Real Africa Adventures team member. Arrival on a morning or early afternoon flight will be best. You will be able to exchange money and settle in at your accommodation. Dinner will be at your accommodation,  Rest and settle in.

Day 2 :Clean Water Project
After breakfast, you will drive east to Iganga. Pass through the rain forest and sugar and tea plantations. Check-in at Jenny’s Guest House and go to the village where you will be constructing a well for clean water. You will be working with experienced, local people who know how to do this. You will take a packed lunch. Return to Jenny’s for dinner.

Day 3 :Clean Water Project
Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 4 :Clean Water Project
Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 5 :Clean Water Project
Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 6 : Project  Work
Play with kids in the village or at an orphanage. You can put on a sports clinic, if you would like. Or, if you have medical background, you can work at a clinic in the village or at Iganga Hospital. Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 7: Project Work
Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 8 Jinja Tour and Rafting (optional)
After an early breakfast, go to Jinja. You can either visit Bujagali Falls and the source of the Nile River, have lunch and do some shopping. Or, if you want, you can go for the exciting full day of White Water Rafting on the Nile. You would pay for this on your own that day. You will leave Jinja late in the afternoon and have dinner  back in Kampala.

Day 9 : Murchison Falls National Park
You will leave Kampala, head to Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of Uganda. On your way, you will see people doing their day to day activities that help them earn a living. With lunch en route, you will arrive in early evening and then have a short tester game drive. Check-in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Red Chili.

Day 10 :Game drive
We do an early morning game drive, a good time to see the predators. Other animals to see in this park are warthog, hyena, giraffe, elephant, kob and many more. This game drive will last a minimum of 4 hours; you can choose whether to have your breakfast packed before you leave for the game drive or have it when you come back from the game drive.

Be back to accommodation in time to freshen up and have lunch. You will then go for the boat launch at exactly 2:00 pm; it starts at Paraa Lodge and ends at the foot of Murchison falls, lasting 3 hours. This boat trip will enable you to see hippos, crocodiles and a lot of bird life. Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 11: Back to Kampala; Ndere
You will leave early and see the top of the falls on the way out of the park. Have lunch on your way back to Kampala. Go to your accommodation to quickly freshen up. Then go to Ndere Cultural Center for the performance show, featuring music and dance from the various tribes of Uganda. You will have dinner as you watch at their outdoor theater.

Day 12 : Kampala City Tour; Swimming
In the morning, our experienced guide will take you through the sights and sounds of this hilly city. Meet people renown for their friendliness and visit cultural sites.

The tour can include the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Makerere University, Nakasero Market, Craft markets, Namirembe Cathedral, and more. Enjoy a traditional Uganda style lunch at a local favorite restaurant. After lunch, go to Speke Resort for a swim at their Olympic size pool. Return to the accommodation for dinner.

Day 13: Departure
Today, you will go for shopping, pack and say your goodbyes (depending on flights). You will head off to Entebbe International Air port for your flight back home.
An afternoon or evening flight will be best.

The cost for a group of 3-5 is $1700 or 930 GBP per person
The cost for a group of 6-9 is $1530 or 850 GBP per person

The total cost for the Clean Water Project is $900 or 550 GBP. This cost will be divided equally among each person.

What you pay will depend on the number of people. The maximum you will pay is $284 or 179 GBP.

Obviously, with more than 3 people, you will pay less. This fee will be set and you must pay it by the time you make a final payment for the trip,. (This is a separate fee from your trip cost. This money is used specifically and only to buy supplies for the water project.

Cost is set by the local leaders, using Maglo Investments Eng. & Const. (U) Ltd. in Iganga to do a quote.)

The Cost Includes:

  • Accommodation,Guide/Driver,All entry fees,All breakfast,All meals with one beverage, as listed on itinerary, Ground transport in 4x4wd to locations on itinerary,Bottled water ,Supplies for the project (separate fee)

The Cost Excludes:

  • Any extra items of personal nature,Additional snacks, drinks and beverages, Any activities or meals not listed on the itinerary,White-water rafting (optional),Tips and gratuities,Flights, Visa/Passport, Vaccinations/Jabs,Personal insurance ,Meals on arrival/departure dates not known at this time, depending on your flight times. (You pay for your own lunches these days),Service charge fees (differ depending on if you use PayPal or make a wire transfer)

    NOTES:
    Confirmation with deposit of $350 or 150 GBP, as well as completed booking forms, must be made by March 31, 2010. If there are not at least 3 confirmed people for this trip , then the group rates will not apply. You can still come, but your individual cost will go up.

    We will tell you how many people have confirmed to let you know if you pay the rate for 3-5 people or 6-9 people (or the lower cost if we have even more people). More people can confirm after this date, but we must have at least 3 to continue planning for the trip.
