Chulmleigh Community Colleg e trip to Uganda 2010 PDF Print E-mail

There is just a few hours left and 40 strong team from Devon's Chulmleigh community college will arrive at Entebbe international airport Uganda.  The team is lead by Mr James cookson who has led teams of the kind  from the Community college to Uganda in the past. The group will be in Kampala for a few days and then off to Iganga where they will work with Busu Village helping at suubi medical clinic which they also helped set up about 5 years ago and this can be seen at www.suubiclinic.co.uk, but their main project will be with Busu primary school where they will build and equip a school Library  for the 600 children from the village who study there.  we Real Africa adventures are proud to be a big part of this project. After  a week of hard work they will head to the south west to see Uganda at its best with a wild life safari at Queen Elizabeth national game park and  back to Kampala for a few more excursions before they head home.

This year has been very busy, we have been able to facilitate 5 great projects both in kenya and Uganda Volunteers have come from all different continents. Just like many other projects our volunteers have been involved in the past years, this year's projects will have a great impact on the people of these  communities. 80% of this year's volunteers had never been to Africa before so it was lovely sharing African experience with them.

Due to the need to grow the company and continue to serve our loyal clients with our unique model, We have brought on board of director a new member. His name is Wycliffe Sande. Mr. Sande is University of London Law graduate with a unique blend of experience spaning from Law to finance and social enterprise. Upon his appoint he comment " Real Africa Adventures is a great company whose passion is to facilitate direct aid through tourism, but ultimately, we must continue to inspire other to go see how they can make a difference"

Denis Kigongo Victor Co- director comment :"we are very delighted that Wycliffe has joined us, he is going to use his great leadership and  management capabilities  to make sure that we keep our commitment to good  practice in all areas of our business. He's going lead the entire teams here in UK and Uganda"
