We are a genuinely passionate company that plans safaris, volunteer vacations, overseas working holidays and vacations, GAP trips and student education tours to the African Continent for groups, families and individuals
Founded in 2005, Real Africa Adventures was born from the experience of Denis Kigongo. Denis trained as a teacher and later as a youth worker and through this helped to organise a trip for a group of student youth workers and then another for a secondary school.. and so began Real Africa Adventures.
In his own words: “Real Africa Adventures is a specialist company. We don’t produce large catalogues and use numbers to describe our trips. We focus on the client and their individual dream of Africa to build personalised itineraries.
Real Africa Adventures was established as an alternative tour company specifically to deliver an enriching African holiday experience for people that also
Care about the needs of the local people in developing countries Care about preserving the environment and natural resources Care about respecting local customs and practices Want more than the average package deal
“Most tour companies offer safaris and trips in Africa that involve arriving at the airport, getting into a 4-wheel drive vehicle and travelling long distances along bad roads to try and find the "Big Five" animals). The holidaymaker takes as many photos as possible and then gets back on the plane and heads home. Real Africa Adventures believes this is little different from a visit to a zoo!
“Real Africa Adventures has successfully realised the vision to change all this by taking visitors to places that represent the real Africa and give them an experience that they will remember for the rest of their life whilst helping to improve the livelihood of the local people.”

Every Real Africa Adventures journey in Uganda or Kenya begins with a team of behind-the-scenes people. They know our trips and programs from experience, and they can answer any question. "How to book your trip?" "What kind of food will be served on the trip?" "What to pack for the tour?"
Our Safari Guides are multi-lingual, fluent in most key languages spoken in Uganda and East Africa. English is the primary language spoken by all however, most also speak Swahili as secondary languages.
We Look foward to showing you Real Africa
